Cos'è Euromeeting?

Dal 2001 la Regione Toscana organizza Euromeeting, si tratta di un importante Seminario internazionale espressamente dedicato ai temi dello sviluppo sostenibile e competitivo delle Regioni europee.

Già dalle prime edizioni questo incontro ha riscosso un forte interesse, non solo delle Regioni ma anche della Commissione europea, dell'organizzazione Mondiale del Turismo, dell'UNEP, delle Università, dei tantissimi soggetti pubblici e privati interessati a confrontarsi sulle migliori esperienze e sulle tematiche del turismo.

L'edizione 2007 di Euromeeting ha rappresentato una tappa molto importante per la costruzione di una strategia condivisa tra le regioni europee e il mondo del turismo. In quella occasione, il 17 novembre 2007, moltissime regioni e istituzioni europee presenti all'edizione di Euromeeting, hanno siglato un Documento molto importante che è stato definito la "Carta di Firenze per un turismo europeo sostenibile e competitivo".

Questo accordo di collaborazione si poneva l'obiettivo di creare una vera e propria rete tra le regioni europee, aperta a tutte le istituzioni pubbliche e i soggetti interessate a condividere principi ed esperienze nei tanti settori collegati al turismo.

Anche grazie ad Euromeeting è nata la rete europea NECSTouR che oggi rappresenta davvero un punto di riferimento per l'individuazione e la sperimentazione delle politiche di sviluppo del turismo europeo.

Questo sito vi permetterà di precorre la strada che abbiamo tracciato in questi anni offrendovi i materiali illustrati e discussi nelle edizioni che si sono succedute dal 21 novembre 2001 ad oggi.

Euromeeting, ogni anno, oltre ad offrirsi come occasione di incontro internazionale, propone temi specifici strettamente legati alle problematiche del turismo e del suo sviluppo sostenibile. Oggi Euromeeting dispone anche di questo importante strumento, un sito Web, che ci auguriamo possa rappresentare una opportunità in più per tutti coloro che intendano partecipare al confronto internazionale permanente su questi temi.


 

Presentation of EuroMeeting

The Region of Tuscany has been holding the EuroMeeting since 2001. It is an important international Seminar specifically dedicated to sustainable and competitive development issues of the European Regions.
Since its first editions this meeting has encountered a strong interest, not only from the various regions but also from the European Commission, World Tourism Organization, UNEP, Universities, as well as many public and private entities interested in confronting themselves with the tourism best experiences and issues.
The 2007 edition of EuroMeeting represented a milestone in drawing a shared strategy among the European regions and the world of tourism. In that occasion on the 17th November 2007, many regions and European institutions attending the EuroMeeting edition, sealed a very important Document which has been defined as " Florence Charter for sustainable and competitive European tourism".
The aim of this agreement on cooperation was to create a real network across the European regions, accessible to all public institutions and entities interested in sharing principles and experiences in the many sectors involved with tourism.
The NECSTouR European network was also established thanks to EuroMeeting. Today it really represents a landmark for individuating and experimenting policies for the development of European tourism.
This website will allow you to carry on in the direction that we have drawn during these years, putting at your disposal material explained and discussed in the editions which occurred from the 21st November 2001 up to today.
Every year EuroMeeting, besides offering itself as an international meeting, proposes specific issues strictly linked to problems of tourism and its sustainable development. Today EuroMeeting has also a website available, which is an extremely important tool offering a further opportunity for all those who wish to be involved with the permanent international confrontation on these issues.
