The Nati family bought the Marena farm and residence by public auction at the end of the 17th century. The villa, which stands near the town of Bibbiena, is reached by a driveway lined with centuries-old cypress trees that ends at the simply-designed front of the building, adorned with a fine double staircase, with the Nati family crest over the main doorway. Little remains of the ancient Italian-style layout of the front garden. The garden at the rear, on the other hand, has a large serena stone and brick fountain, which was probably once the centrepiece of a symmetrical layout, subsequently transformed by the addition of conifers, planted in the early 20th century. These trees include a fine example of a sofora pendula. Beneath a charming loggia with brick columns is an elegant early 20th-century weighbridge, still in working order. The various buildings that make up the property include a small noble chapel, which was built at the end of the 18th century and subsequently decorated on the inside.
